The First Baptist Church of Ravenel was organized in 1913 and situated on a half acre lot near the railroad tracks on Martin Street in Ravenel, SC. In 1957 the congregation moved to its present location where Mr. and Mrs. Capple Miller gave the church five acres at the intersection of Highway 17 and State Road 165 in Ravenel.
